And That's a Wrap!

Dear friends, as of last weekend the record is completely finished. What a lovely way to end it too, by tracking the final track (an acoustic ballad) on the grand piano at Planet Studios in Montreal, Quebec. My producer John Nathaniel, his assistant Jean-Philippe Labelle, and sound engineer Nick Petrowski spent a few hours with me as I worked to play this piece all in one take. Believe it or not- we actually succeeded ;) The title track, and also the last track of the record is Skylines. The theme running throughout is the experience of freedom, for those brave enough to reach beyond themselves into the realms of the unknown and into the love of God.   All together there are 10 tracks on the album, eight which have been produced by John Nathaniel (Montreal, Qc), one by Jordan Valeriote (Guelph, On) and finally one track by Nashville’s Ed Cash. This record has been nearly two years in the making, perhaps a project I thought too big for my own hands, and yet it’s incredible to see it come to a close. I’ve waited many a day to release it to you, the listeners. Stay tuned as it hits iTunes in May. Hard copies will also be available. More on that soon!
