Words & Music by Amy Savin
The Saviour asked "dear Peter, do you love me?
Peter replied, "Lord you know I do"
Then again and again, the Saviour said "Do you love me?
If you do, feed my sheep, feed my lambs"
'Cause I see one stumbling down, And no one's around.
I see one wandering away, I see one too weak to pray,
And she's dying to found.
To be my hands and feet, You love the least of these.
My heart is there when you are.
My heart is there when you are.
You say you love me; You love me three times,
But you're asking "when Lord, when were you hungry, when were you cold?"
You say, "When were you sick? Lord, When were you naked?"
I am hurting every time my own hurt.
Do you see the forgotten one,
Do you know that's my son?
Oh he's been walking the streets, with tired and wounded feet,
But there's no place to call home.
With your mouth you speak, but it's your body I need.
My heart is there when you are.
My heart is there when you are.
Bridge:
I'm a father to the fatherless
A mother's arms to her restless,
A brother to the broken hearted
So if I'm the vine, and you're the branches
You're my body as it reaches to all nations, into every heart
Oh I see one stumbling down, they need you now.
I see one wandering away, I see one too weak to pray,
Will you show them how?
To be my hands and feet, You love the least of these.
My heart is there when you are.
My heart is there when you are.
